[Hexed Private to Anthony]
What in the Hell has possessed Terry-
Why on Earth is Terry-
What's wrong with-

Forgive me for being frank and for rather putting you on the spot, but what on Earth has possessed Terry to make him have such a vehemently negative reaction at the possibility of the Order extending any help to Draco? Honestly, it's like dealing with a feral six-year-old. Did you ever talk to him about that matter? I'll understand if you'd rather not discuss it, but Professor McGonagall and I want to help him (Terry, that is), and we're rather lost as how to do so. I just thought that, as his best mate, you'd have some insight into the situation.
[/Hex]

[Hexed Incredibly Private to Theodore Nott]
Theodore? This is Remus Lupin, representative of the Order of the Phoenix.

Terry Boot recently informed Professor McGonagall and myself that you mean to switch sides. Aside from that, he was regrettably vague, and he rather curtailed the conversation well before it should have ended. Either way, I would like to know your side of this story: do you mean to switch sides? What prompted this desire? How much are you willing to risk to do so?

And, if I'm entirely mistaken in this, I apologize.
[/Theodore]

[Hexed to Tonks]
Am I the only one who's noticing that they were wrong in saying that women are more irrational and more governed by their emotions than men?

Are you busy?
[/Tonks]

(added later) [Hexed to Minerva]
It's Albus.

Terry's reacting so negatively to Draco because of Albus. And because of some notion he has -- which may or may not be correct, but he certainly believes it -- that Albus was the only adult in his life who said that it was alright for him to be gay. That he didn't need to punish himself for it. And Draco paved the way for Severus to murder Albus, which Terry apparently equates with actually doing the deed. It's just...

...Merlin. I had him in one detention. Only one. And I was so sure that I was right about what was troubling him. I should've guessed it, I should've known, I should've pressed the issue -- there's no excuse for my missing this.
[/Minerva]

I did talk to him, sir, and honestly, I do understand why Terry behaves the way he does, even if I don't approve of it. It's... it's a complicated situation, and I don't know if I should be the one to tell you, sir.

In all likelihood, I already know some of what's going on for him -- at least, I do if the one detention we had together is a good indication of anything.

I wouldn't force this conversation on you if I didn't think it was entirely necessary, Anthony. Minerva and I have tried to talk to Terry, but he has only reacted negatively to our attempts. I'm only asking you for what you know because I want to help him and he's being stubborn about letting me do so.

I just...

It all goes back to the Headmaster, sir. Draco might not have done it himself, but he gave others the means, and it's personal for Terry.

Did he specify how personal? Dumbledore's death was personal for Minerva -- they were colleagues for ages, she'd looked up to him as a student -- and it was personal for me. It was personal for everyone, but in different ways. What is so personal about it that Terry can't forgive Draco?

Just what I was afraid of.

Well. I can't say that I'm surprised by that. And it does, retroactively, explain quite a bit. Had he been more open about it during our detention, I would have told him so myself, but all he explained was that a personal crisis had kept him up late, but that he had it under control. I should've pressed the issue-

Oh, no, I learned ages ago that men have a tendency to be just as histrionic as women, if not more. You lot have bursts of it. We're just a bit steadier with it is all.

I'm afraid I'm horribly busy. Forty-seven games of solitaire today so far, and I haven't won yet. I am determined to beat the bloody thing. But for you, I'll put it aside. What have you got in mind? Want me to come by?

Oh, good. I was afraid that I was the only one in this house thinking that all the boys in here are more prone to melodrama than all the girls.

Well, I wouldn't want to trouble you, if your enthralling card games must be beaten. But I find myself terribly in need of distraction and recreation, and I know no one better at distracting me than you.

For you, I would give up this enthralling competition. Distraction, eh? I think I can do that. Have you got a particular brand of distraction in mind?

I'd better be the best at distracting you, else you and I would be having a little chat, you know, love.

Immensely. It's like dealing with a collective of feral six-year-olds, sometimes.

Why, yes, I do. Shall I elaborate explicitly, or should I just come to your room, make suggestive facial gestures, and hope that the point gets across?

You are ever the unparalleled and unrivaled best at distracting me, dear, so there's no need for said chat to happen.

It is! Makes me wonder what's more difficult - dealing with this lot or dealing with infants. This lot, I think, since it's more than spit up and crying.

I like your facial expressions, so why don't we settle on that? I like the idea of you coming to me even more.

Mm, good. Y'know, why are we not sharing a room already, eh? I'm in yours enough.

I, well. First, it was the need to give you some privacy while you healed. Then, it was just, well. We weren't quite official, and there was, on my part, the desire not to have to explain anything about us to anyone else. But it would make several things much easier -- should I move into yours, or the other way around?

In a manner of speaking, I suppose. Though I don't really have a leg to stand on, just... considering that I've never been married. But... well. Better to get it done as soon as possible, so we can reap the benefits of it, right?

In that case, maybe we ought to stop when we run out of names we both like.

Oh? What's a proper wedding? My definition happens to be you being there, me being there, and someone making it legal being there. Other than that...well.

...I'm amenable to that.

Well, I'd always rather entertained romantic -- romantic here having the definition of "delusional" -- notions of being able to provide for nice dress robes and something lavish. I'd settle for nice dress robes and more people in attendance than us and someone to make it legal. If that's alright with you.

Brilliant! That's a number of years we won't have to worry about birth control.

As it so happens, you have a girlfriend who doesn't care one whit about money and happens to have a bit of her own. So if it's dress robes and a bit of lavishness you'd like, then that's what we'll have. And I'm sure a few of the people in Grimmauld Place wouldn't mind attending, if we offer them food.

Y'know, just as a bit of constructive criticism, next bird you decide to marry, work a bit on the proposal, love.

I don't mind not having dress robes of my own, but I'd like to give you whatever you want in a set of dress robes. Unless you're not one of the girls included in the statement, "Every girl knows what she wants her wedding dress to look like."

Well, I'd rather there not be another bird. Just as a point of preference.

...Oh, hell. I have a ring. Just not here. It's at my father's place, I'll have to go get it.

Really? Lily misled me, and I am now very curious about said knickers...

There isn't.

I... don't know. I mean, the ring can be a statement for a little while, and we can pick some day to get everything done and official. We may or may not have to skip the legal part for a time, just given my present status with the law... I mean, unless we manage a complete coup by the time we want to have the wedding. But that is rather unlikely, I should think.

Oh, you'll get to see them on the wedding night. They're brilliant, they are. And very lacy. And might actually be a thong instead of knickers. You'll just have to see, won't you?

There isn't for me either, babe.

Mm, on second thought, legality might not be possible, unless we go to Ireland or France. Do you want to do that? Or do you want to get married anyway, regardless of whether or not the Death Eaters think it's legal? Frankly, the more we piss them off, the happier I am. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Quiet would be best, even, given the state of things. Just...it's not the wedding that's important, love.

What prompted it? Maybe getting attacked in my own home? It's all rather long, sir, but it involves Bellatrix crashing in on Draco and I with two of her Death Eater cronies, smashing up all of my belongings... Attacking Draco and I... Like I said, it's long.

What exactly would I be risking? I don't have much I truly care about, sir.

I'm glad you've contacted me... I'm a bit messed up at the moment, if I'm honest. Everything seems to be going to shit (excuse my French).
